Teresa A. Bleggi, BA
Teresa has been a member of Harbor Counseling’s staff since 1998. She came to us from upstate New York, where she graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Public Justice and Sociology, and had been working as a substance abuse counselor for several years. Teresa has had many different responsibilities during her tenure at Harbor, including prevention work in the local schools, individual and group counseling at our facility, and she is currently in charge of our services at Tioga County Prison. Teresa is a valued member of our management team, using her wisdom, knowledge, and commitment to our clients’ recovery to assist our Director and Clinical Supervisor with program development. Her energy and enthusiasm is an inspiration to our clients and to the rest of our staff.
William Bohart, BSW
Bill has been a member of Harbor Counseling's clinical staff since 2011. He obtained his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Mansfield University in 2012. His duties at Harbor include facilitating groups and seeing clients individually in our Wellsboro facility and at Tioga County Prison.
Terry J. Davis, BSW
Terry joined Harbor Counseling's staff in 2006 as a part-time employee while completing his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Mansfield University. He then became a full-time counselor and has been with us ever since. Terry sees clients individually and facilitates groups at our main office in Wellsboro.
Christopher R. Husband, BSW
Chris began his time at Harbor Counseling as an intern in 2008 and was hired on as staff later that year. He grew up in Troy, PA. Here, at Harbor, Chris provides individual, group, and assessment services. He enjoys facilitating the group process and witnessing people make positive changes in their lives. In his free time, Chris can often be found fishing in the local lakes and streams.
Melodie Allen, MS
Mel is one of the newest members of Harbor’s staff, joining us in October 2016. First and foremost, she is a grateful recovering alcoholic, who has learned to live the life of recovery, to maintain her own sobriety one day at a time. Sobriety has allowed Mel to achieve an AS degree in Criminal Justice, a BS degree in Criminal Justice Investigations, both from Everest University, and a MS in Human Services or Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Post University. Her previous experience includes working as a residential counselor at Mountain Laurel Recovery Center in Westfield, PA, where she worked with individuals diagnosed with both substance abuse and mental health disorders. In 2015, Mel worked as Harbor Counseling’s intern while completing her master’s degree. Mel currently facilitates several groups at Harbor and also sees clients individually.
Kassie Irwin, BS, CADC, CCDP, SAP, CPC
Kassie joins Harbor Counseling in March 2017, with 14 years of experience working in addiction recovery services. Kassie is a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor, Certified CoOccurring Disorders Professional, qualified NAADAC Substance Abuse Professional, and a Certified Professional Coach Life Coaching. Kassie has an Associates Degree from Penn State University, Bachelors Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is presently finishing her Master's Degree from Northcentral University. Kassie facilitates Family Education Groups, process groups, and provides individual and couples counseling. Additionally, Kassie provides substance abuse professional services for Department of Transportation regulated employees out of our Wellsboro office. In Kassie’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Lisa Appleby, AAC, CRS
Lisa has been a member of the Harbor family since 2015, where she started out as a Certified Recovery Specialist and is now an Associate Addictions Counselor. Lisa delivers substance abuse treatment services to the female population at Tioga County Prison, and facilitates groups, individuals, and assessments at our Wellsboro and Blossburg locations. She is also a Certified Overdose Prevention trainer, providing the community, clients, and families, with Narcan and harm reduction services. Being an active member of the recovering community, Lisa enjoys participating in community events advocating for recovery and public speaking.
